According to the National Tourism Administration, there are more than 2300 accommodation units in Georgia, most of which are located in Tbilisi – 457 places. The majority of them (944) are family hotels, 851 are Hotels and 369 Guesthouses.
Since the beginning of the year, 105 hotels have opened in Georgia, and the total number of rooms came to 2772, and 5767 beds. The majority of the new hotels since the beginning of the year were opened in Tbilisi. Among these were the following brands: Tbilisi Park Hotel, (number of rooms 54), Best Western Tbilisi City Centre (number of rooms 44), Ramada Encore (number of rooms 152), Moxy by Marriott (number of rooms 130), Bridge Boutique Hotel (number 32), Stamba (number of rooms 205), Timber Boutique Hotel (number of rooms 18).
Since the beginning of the year two hotel brands opened in Batumi: The Grand Gloria (number of rooms 167), and Best Western Premier Batumi (number of rooms 104). In terms of projects underway, 233 hotels are being constructed across Georgia, which in total will offer over 13 000 rooms and over 22 000 beds.
The majority of the hotels (66) are planned to be constructed in Tbilisi, followed by Adjara with 37 hotels under construction and Kakheti with 24 projects under construction.
According to the data by the National Tourism Administration, in 2018-2019 the following hotels are planned to be opened in Georgia:
Courtyard by Marriott – Batumi; The hotel will offer 150 rooms and 300 beds. The project is implemented by Company Alliance Group, the investment value of the project is $ 80 million.
Swissotel – Batumi; The hotel will offer 186 rooms and 360 beds.
Le Meridien – Batumi; The hotel will have 110 rooms and 230 beds. The investment value of the Redco’s project is about 30 million dollars.
DAR BUILDING LTD – Batumi; The DAR BUILDING Ltd will have 310 rooms.
Wellness Resort & Spa – Mtsvane Kontskhi; The wellness and health complex will offer 280 rooms. The investment cost of the project is 110 million dollars and it is implemented by the Co-Investment Fund’s Tourism Development Fund.
Ramada Resorts – Goderdzi; project belonging to the Alliance Group. The investment value of a 100-room complex is 10 million dollars.
Metro Holding – Goderdzi; The hotel will have 190 rooms and will offer 250 beds.
Twin Tower – Batumi; company “Orbi” is building this multi-story hotel with 350 rooms.
White Sails – Batumi; WHITE SAILS is a multi-functional complex with premium class hotels and apartments. The project is initiated by investment company AR Meridians.
Crystal Building – Kobuleti; Crystal Building company will invest 200 million GEL in the project. The hotel will have 220 rooms.
Hilton Garden Inn – Tbilisi; The cost of the project is 35 million dollars. As a result, a 14-story hotel with 165 rooms will be built in the center of Tbilisi.
Radisson Park Inn – Tbilisi; According to the project, the hotel will have 200 rooms.
Wyndham Grand – Tbilisi; Instead of Rixos, the Wyndham Grand Hotel will be opened in Tbilisi. The cost of the project is 45 million dollars and is implemented by Georgian-Israeli investment.
Pullman Hotels & Resort – Tbilisi; A five-star hotel will be opened in the building of “Axis Tower” located on the Chavchavadze Avenue near the Statue of Galaktioni.
Radisson BLU Telegraph – Tbilisi; The project belongs to the Silk Road. A 5-star hotel Radisson Blue Telegraph will be opened in the former post office building in Tbilisi offering 200 rooms.
Ramada – Tbilisi; The 125-room hotel project is implemented by M2.
Golden Tulip – Tbilisi; The project by the company Block Invest will offer 80 rooms, an 11 million USD investment.
Marriott Autograph on freedom Square and Marriott Autograph Collection in Sololaki – the total investment cost of the projects is $ 365 million. The project is implemented by the Co-Investment Fund Tourism Development Fund.
Holiday Inn Express – Tbilisi; the hotel is built by Simetria Ltd and will integrate 121 rooms.
Hilton Tbilisi – The hotel will be located in the former building of the Ministry of Agriculture. Investment Agreement was signed between Hilton Worldwide and Granat Georgia on 2 November 2016. The investment company plans to invest approximately 45 million euros. The main contractor of the Hilton Tbilisi will be the development company BBC, and the construction process will be managed by the British company BHP.
Tabori Ridge Recreation & Golf Resort – The Hotel will offer 100 rooms and is implemented by the Co-Investment Fund – Tourism Development Fund.
Ramada Encore – Kutaisi; the project is implemented by M2 and will integrate 120 rooms.
Radisson BLU Tsinandali – Tsinandali; The project is implemented by Silk Road, which will offer 111 hotel rooms.
Holiday INN – Telavi; the 85-room hotel is worth 15 million GEL.
Golden Tulip – Telavi; 10 million dollars will be invested in the construction of a 100-room hotel; the owner of the project is JSC Kakhetia.
Radisson Blu Gudauri – Gudauri; The company Redco is implementing the project and will have 105 rooms.
