Georgia Holds 76th Position In The World In Terms Of The Quality Of Infrastructure

In terms of infrastructure competitiveness, Georgia holds 69^th position in the world. According to the report of the World Economic Forum, Hong Kong has the best infrastructure in the world and holds the first position with 6,7 points out of 7. Georgia’s has 4,2 rating points.

Top ten countries in the ratings are:

United Arab Emirates – 6,3 points

Switzerland – 6,3 points

France – 6,1 points

Germany – 6,0 points

As to Georgia’s neighboring countries, in the ratings, Russia is number 35, Azerbaijan – 51, Turkey – 53 and Armenia – 80. 

The World Economic Forum’s rating is based on several criteria and the quality of infrastructure is among them. The leaders with this sub-criterion are Switzerland, Singapore and Hong Kong.

With the quality of infrastructure, Georgia holds 76^th position with 3,9 points of out 7. Russia holds 74^th position with 4 points, Armenia – 57^th with 4,3 points, Turkey – 28^th with 5 points and Azerbaijan – 26^th with the same 5 points.

In the sub-criterion of road quality, Georgia holds 82^nd position, with regard to port and air transport infrastructure quality – 69^th position in the world.
