Ms. Tami J. Turnley, certified coach and owner of Ideal Weight Loss Solutions, continues to receive recognition for her dedication to health, personal growth, and faith-based entrepreneurship. For more than 35 years, Ms. Turnley has guided clients toward wellness and fitness through her knowledge of weight loss and coaching, drawing strength from a deeply personal journey of resilience.
From Gymnastics Coach to Wellness Authority: A Legacy of Empowering Others
Ms. Turnley began her professional path at age 19 when she founded Tami’s Gymnastics. The business served more than 300 children weekly and remained active for over two decades. “I was loading and unloading equipment in the back of a trailer all day and traveling to different schools to teach classes,” Ms. Turnley said. “What you see is what you get with me. I’ve never claimed to have it all together — but I believed in my purpose and in what I was doing.”
That same spirit led Ms. Turnley to acquire Ideal Weight Loss Solutions in 2019. She has since earned 15 certifications and built a brand rooted in sustainable wellness. One of her most acquired products is the Daily Trim. It is a three-part supplement that boosts metabolism, curbs cravings, and promotes GLP-1 production naturally, aiding weight loss effectively.
Faith-Driven Resilience in the Face of Adversity
Ms. Turnley’s work resonates because of her professional knowledge and lived experience. Having previously battled an eating disorder, she meets clients with empathy and hard-earned perspective. “You don’t have to be perfect to help others. My main goal is not only to help clients lose weight, but to help them start believing in the strength they have to know that they are stronger and better than their emotions. If they believe in themselves and become more confident in who they are, the weight loss will come,” Ms. Turnley said.
In 2021, Ms. Turnley was recognized as Outstanding Coach of the Month and featured on the Life Possible Podcast, episode 35. The Baton Rouge Business Report named her one of the Women Leading the Way in 2023, 2024 and 2025.
Faith has played a central role in Ms. Turnley’s journey. She often reflects on a quote from the book “Girl, Wash Your Face” by Rachel Hollis: “What if God is not doing this TO you, He is doing this FOR you?” That message became a personal mantra during a difficult six-year divorce that led Ms. Turnley to rebuild her life and career. “I believe God can take all your brokenness and turn it into something good,” she said.
In 2024, Ms. Turnley expanded her entrepreneurial portfolio with the launch of T J Rental Properties, which reflects her ability to diversify while staying grounded in her purpose. A Baton Rouge native, Ms. Turnley is a proud mother to two sons, Brody and Brock, and finds joy in cooking for big family gatherings – as she says, “Being with family is everything!”
