In January-June 2018, in Georgia, 4941 construction permits were issued, which is 1.4% less than in the similar period of last year. Construction permits were issued for a total of 2995.9 thousand m2 of buildings, which is 4.8% more than in the similar period of last year.
72.4% of the issued permits cover 3 regions of the country. Namely, 46.8% – Tbilisi, 14.3% – Adjara and 11.3% – Kvemo Kartli region.
More than a half of completed constructions cover three regions: 29.3% – Tbilisi, 16.3% – Kakheti and 11.0% – Kvemo Kartli.
In January-June 2018, 1163 buildings with 928.9 thousand m2 of space were completed, while in the same period of 2017, 1134 buildings with 1190.1 thousand m2 of space were completed.
