The International Telecommunication Union published annual ICT Development Index, according to which, Georgia holds 74th position in the world. Compared to the last year, Georgia’s position in the ratings has worsened by one point.
The ratings consists of 11 criteria. Georgia’s rating is 5,97 of 10. Last year, Georgia’s rating was 5,59 points.
The rating of 2017 integrates data of 179 countries. According to the research, in Georgia, 52,5% of households own computers, but only 49,7% has access to internet.
The rate if subscribers of broadband mobile services is 57,69 out of 100.
The survey shows that only 15,8 out of 100 residents use fixed broadband services.
In the skills criterion , Georgia has 7,4 points of 100.

In the ratings, Georgia is included into the CIS group, where it holds 6th position. The leader of the group is Belarus (holding 32nd position in the entire list). Number 2 is Russia (45th position), third position is held by Kazakhstan (52nd position), Moldova rates 4th (59th position) and the fifth position is held by Azerbaijan (65th position). Georgia is ahead of Armenia, which holds 75th position in the entire ratings.
